In October 2020, Emily and Justin Thomas moved into their new abode with their canine companion, Pax. The spacious yard and friendly neighbors made Pax ecstatic. However, their neighbor’s recent addition of a puppy named Penny took Pax’s happiness to new heights. Emily explained that Pax and Penny got along well even when Penny was only three months old. The Thomases’ neighbors even installed a gate to their fence to accommodate playdates between the two dogs. Pax eagerly awaited Penny’s arrival every time he went outside, and they would “kiss” over the fence daily once Penny could reach its top.
Since then, Pax and Penny have formed a special bond that is evident every time they meet. They exchange affectionate kisses through the fence whenever they are both outside, and also enjoy sharing toys by playing tug-of-war with a rope toy. Their owners ensure that they have regular playdates in their respective yards, and the two dogs simply cannot stay away from each other. However, their friendship was put to the test when it started snowing. While Pax relishes the cold weather and can happily sleep in a heap of snow, Penny is not a fan of rain or snow. During the recent snowy spells, she was reluctant to go outside and was often seen standing at the fence, peering wistfully at Pax who was missing her dearly.
Pax, the lovable pooch, was heartbroken when his dear friend Penny wasn’t there to greet him every day like she used to. The sudden separation between him and his bestie left him confused and sad. Sympathetic to Pax’s plight, Penny’s parents devised a plan to ease his loneliness. They decided to clear a path from Penny’s house to the fence, hoping that it would encourage her to venture out into the snow and reunite with Pax. Initially reluctant, Penny overcame her apprehension and braved the chilly weather to be by Pax’s side once again. And so, the two inseparable friends were finally reunited.
After realizing that Pax was comfortable playing in the snow, Penny’s apprehensions disappeared. Pax acted as a support system for her and helped her overcome her fears. Now, they can’t imagine being separated from each other ever again. According to Thomas, they were excited to reunite and Pax’s encouragement motivated Penny to join him in the snow. Since then, the two have been enjoying daily playdates in the snow. It’s evident that Penny and Pax share an unbreakable bond, and they are determined to maintain their beautiful friendship.
