Despite her busy schedule, the 53-year-old actress appeared happy and energized as she hit the pavement for a morning jog before shooting scenes in Brooklyn on Thursday. Sporting form-fitting leggings, a black jacket, and grey trainers, the Friends icon was ready to break a sweat and stay fit.

Afterwards, she was spotted chatting with co-star Reese Witherspoon as they both returned to the set to continue shooting scenes. Jennifer portrays Alex Levy, who co-hosts The Morning Show with Mitch Kessler (played by Steve Carell), and faces challenges in the first season when he is let go due to allegations of sexual misconduct.

Returning to the set, the actress was spotted catching up with her colleague Reese Witherspoon as they resumed shooting their scene. One person exclaimed, ‘Jen and Reese together, but no Jon! What a missed opportunity!’ It is unknown if the casting of Jon, announced in August, had been discussed prior to filming the scene that eventually received an Emmy nomination. Reese and her co-star Billy Crudup, who portrays the network CEO in The Morning Show, have both been nominated for Emmy awards for their performances, along with Marcia Gay Harden, who had a guest appearance as a journalist in the second season. Nicole Beharie, known for her roles in Miss Juneteenth and Sleepy Hollow, is also set to join the cast for the upcoming third season. While The Morning Show is a work of fiction, it draws inspiration from Brian Stelter’s non-fiction book Top of the Morning: Inside the Cutthroat World of Morning TV.
