It’s impossible to know for sure how Karma’s life was before she was discovered as a stray just a few weeks ago. The poor pup had clearly experienced more hardships than any animal should have to endure by the time she was brought to the Humane Society Silicon Valley in California.
According to Michelle Tennant Nicholson, spokesperson for the Humane Society Silicon Valley, Karma came to the shelter with her ears and tail cut off. Despite having mostly healed wounds, she was still very afraid of humans and other things. The culprit behind her injuries remains unknown, but Karma is now in a safe place and her life is starting to turn around.
With the aim of helping Karma cope with her sad past and readying her for a brighter future, she was placed with a foster family courtesy of the Humane Society Silicon Valley. During her stay, she learned to regain her self-assurance and gradually started to develop a blossoming personality, thanks to the love and care showered on her by her foster family, as per Nicholson. Additionally, she quickly displayed a fondness for toys, and her foster parent ingeniously used playtime and toys as a tool to build rapport with her.
The Humane Society Silicon Valley helped Karma recover from her emotional trauma, but repairing her physical scars required unconventional methods. The rescuers had to think outside the box to help Karma heal properly.
HUMANE SOCIETY SILICON VALLEY expressed their fondness for Karma through their staff and volunteer members. The bond was so strong that one of their foster volunteers created a knitted hat with ears for her.
Karma, a lovely doggo from the Humane Society Silicon Valley, had lost her original ears as a result of cruelty. Fortunately, love came to her rescue, and she now boasts beautiful new ears. But there’s more to Karma’s story that gives her an added sense of wholeness.
The stray kitten was finally able to find what she had always been looking for – a loving family of her own. After spending a few weeks in foster care, she was all set to find her forever home. And as luck would have it, her search came to an end within just one day of arriving on the adoption floor. Despite having gone through a lot, her new mom is convinced that she is perfect in every way.
