Nestled on a sprawling 5-acre property, this timber-built house is situated right beside the vast White River National Forest in Red Cliff, Colorado. With its prime location, guests can easily indulge in various activities such as skiing, fly-fishing, white water rafting, hiking, and horseback riding. It’s also a short drive away from popular destinations like Vail, Buenavista, Copper Mountain, and Breckenridge. The house boasts large wood beams throughout and plenty of windows for natural light. While it’s off-grid, guests need not worry as it has WIFI, all appliances except for a microwave, solar power with backup propane engine, and radiant floor heating. The entire house is accessible to guests, except for the garage. The property might not have cell service, but WIFI calling is available, and there’s a landline. Located just two miles north of Ski Cooper ski resort, this house is nestled in a small mountain neighborhood connected by a well-maintained dirt road to Highway 24. It’s 12 miles north of Leadville and 25 miles south of Vail, making it highly recommended to have a car. During winter, all-wheel drive or 4WD is advisable due to snowfall at 10,000 feet elevation. However, snowplows regularly clear driveways and roads. Hiking and biking trails are easily accessible from the property. The Continental Divide Trail/Colorado Trail is just a few hundred meters away from the house and can be accessed via the Fiddler Trail. Meanwhile, Ski Cooper is only three miles away from the house, offering various terrain options for all levels of skiers. Guests can also explore the quaint town of Buena Vista, which boasts numerous shops, restaurants, and outdoor activities like whitewater rafting and mountain biking. A stroll to the main area to the south is also a must-do.
