Dua Lipa is facing criticism from environmentalists for her ambitious renovation plans, which involve transforming her luxurious £6.75million London residence with a sprawling basement pool and a designated ‘chill-out area,’ similar to the popular TV show Grand Designs.
According to reports, a 26-year-old singer has applied for permission to construct a pool, steam room, relaxation area, shower, and changing room on one side of the property. On the opposite side, they intend to build a studio waiting area, cinema, and lobby.
However, Dua has expressed her desire to remove an existing rear extension and construct a new one that would serve as a family room with an eco-friendly roof. Unfortunately, local council planners and conservationists have voiced their opposition towards this proposed plan.
In addition to her renovation blueprints, the female musician is looking to remove an ornamental maple and a weeping willow tree from the property. She also aims to fix up a classic boundary wall at her three-story abode.
