Dua Lipa steals the show in a fierce leather ensemble and knee-high boots while delivering a stunning Pandora Live performance

Due to the coronavirus lockdowns that were implemented in late March, Dua Lipa was unable to tour for her highly praised second album, Future Nostalgia. However, she recently had the opportunity to perform some of her new tracks during the final Pandora Live performance of 2020. Along with her performance, she sat down with Sirius XM’s Mikey Piff for an interview. During the conversation, the 25-year-old singer-songwriter shared that the limited release of her album was scary, but given its escapist nature, it was the perfect soundtrack for responsible fans who were doing their best to quarantine at home.

Show stopper: Dua Lipa, 25, got a chance to perform some of her newest songs on Tuesday for the final Pandora Live performance of 2020

Dua had a full band with her, but her stage setup was kept minimal with blue or violet lighting dominating the atmosphere. Dressed in a black leather dress, the occasional model and fashionista exuded sultriness with spaghetti straps and a short slit up her thigh. The outfit was completed with a pair of edgy thigh-high black leather boots, while her raven tresses were styled to perfection. Her cat-eye makeup added an extra touch of elegance to her overall look.

She began her show with her popular song “Levitating,” which made it to the Top 40 and was released as a single in August from her album Future Nostalgia. The song was remixed twice, with the first being by The Blessed Madonna featuring new vocals from Madonna and Missy Elliott. However, the second version, which included an intro and a new verse from rapper Da Baby, became more popular in the US. Following her performance, she was interviewed by Piff and asked about her feelings after receiving six Grammy nominations this year and winning Best New Artist at last year’s ceremony. She expressed that the achievement has yet to fully sink in and is grateful for the honor. Each day feels like a “pinch-me moment” for her.

Inquiring about her album, Future Nostalgia, she expressed uncertainty regarding its necessity when the pandemic was wreaking havoc worldwide. Notwithstanding, she believed that the album’s “escapist” quality could aid her fans in enduring the worst of the disaster.

After her appearance on the last episode of Saturday Night Live in 2020, Dua also gave a live performance on Pandora. She performed some of her catchy pop songs and was even part of a sketch with Kristen Wiig, who previously hosted the remote finale of SNL in the same year.
