Katy Perry was a showstopper at the Coronation Concert in honor of King Charles at Windsor Castle last Sunday. The singer rocked a stunning gold ballgown by Vivienne Westwood that had a plunging neckline, backless silhouette, draped sleeves and massive train made of metallic leatherette fabric. Perry performed “Roar” and “Firework” to a delighted crowd that included the newly crowned King Charles and Queen Camilla. Her golden cherub earrings were also on full display as she tied her hair back for the occasion.

During the first-ever Coronation Concert, Katy Perry’s extravagant outfit stood out on stage and perfectly complemented her bespoke Vivienne Westwood ensemble worn during the coronation ceremony. The daytime look consisted of a lilac short-sleeved jacket and matching skirt made from leatherette sourced from Westwood’s archives. Completing the look were opera gloves, a Westwood bag, and a tulle and crinoline headpiece. Perry, who is an ambassador for the British Asian Trust founded by Charles in 2007, arrived at Westminster Abbey with British Vogue editor Edward Enninful and later took her seat among the 2,200 guests.

The newly crowned King Charles and Queen Camilla were seen attending the Coronation Concert alongside other members of the royal family, including Kate Middleton, Prince William, Prince George, and Princess Charlotte. The event was hosted by actor Hugh Bonneville and aimed to celebrate the coronation of the King and Queen in front of a crowd of 20,000 people and viewers at home. The concert featured several performances, including Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Andrea Bocelli. The cameras captured King Charles and Queen Camilla’s smiles as they enjoyed the show, particularly during the surprise appearance of Miss Piggy and Kermit looking for their seats in the royal box. Though 5-year-old Prince Louis missed the concert after a busy day at the crowning ceremony, the rest of the royal family appeared to have a great time.
