Samuel Eto’o fulfills lifelong dream by using entire football career earnings to purchase £18.5M house in Italy

As per sources at Corriere Dello Sport, Samuel Eto’o, the ex-footballer for Chelsea and Everton, is said to have made a substantial investment in purchasing an Italian villa.

Eto’o reportedly bought the £18.5 million Italian mansion, ignoring the advice of locals who cautioned him about the rumored Tutankhamun curse.

Reports have surfaced claiming that the soccer player from Cameroon has purchased Villa Altachiara, a prestigious estate in the northern Italian town of Portofino, near Genoa.

The mansion was once in the possession of Lord Carnarvon, best known for his connection to the rumored ‘Curse of the Pharaoh’.

The story of Villa Altachiara traces back to February 16, 1923, when Lord Carnarvon and the well-known English archaeologist Howard Carter boldly explored the rumored ‘cursed’ resting place of the ancient Egyptian ruler Tutankhamun, unearthing his burial chamber.

It has been observed that among the 58 people who were present when Tutankhamun’s tomb was uncovered, eight of them passed away over the course of twelve years.
Despite the speculation of a curse linked to the property, Eto’o went ahead and purchased Villa Altachiara, contributing to its already rich history as an iconic Italian estate.
